Team Athena watches as Herschel is fired. They are sad about the elimination and can't believe Clint isn't the one to go home. Later, Jesse James checks in with his charity, the Long Beach Education Foundation. Jesse hands the charity a check for $20,000 and they cheer.
Trump gathers the contestants together at a sporting goods store. Trump announces that Jesse will join Joan and Clint on team Kotu. Melissa is annoyed that she now has to work solely with Annie and Brande. Trump asks Jesse about his new team. Jesse says he loves Joan, but is silent when asked about his feelings towards Clint. The teams are then tasked to create a four page ad campaign featuring David Lee for Right Guard deodorant. Trump tells the teams that his daughter Ivanka and Jim Cramer will be supervising. The teams nominate their captains. Brande is the project manager for team Athena and Clint is the leader of team Kotu.
Team Athena gets to work. Melissa makes a suggestion for the campaign, but Annie and Brande ignore her. Annie makes a suggestion and Brande eats it up. The executives walk in and Annie informs them that there may be a risque scene The executives say it should be fine as long as David Lee agrees to the spread. Melissa tries to ask questions, but Annie cuts her off and talks over her. Team Kotu then meets with the executives and learn about the product. Clint asks questions and Jesse is convinced he is clueless.
Annie asks Brande for direction. Brande puts Annie in charge of the majority of the project and has nothing for Melissa to do. Annie emphasizes to Brande that she is the project manager, but in reality Annie is the one calling the shots. Melissa is fascinated as she watches the dynamics between the two.
Jesse does research on David Lee and learns he came from Missouri. Joan suggests that they emphasize the fact that David Lee is a white guy playing with a predominantly black team. Jesse suggests they focus on David moving from a small town to a big city instead. Clint likes Jesse's idea, but he wants to make sure the product is the primary focus. Jesse tells Clint that he prefers a less wordy campaign, but tells Clint to do what he thinks is best.
Bob Scott, the photographer, takes Annie to meet with David Lee for a photo shoot. Annie decides to have the shoot take place at a club where she and David first met. Annie updates Brande on her task and Melissa asks Brande to fill her in on the conversation. Melissa tells Brande that it is clear to her that she and Annie are trying to get her out of the competition. Brande denies the charge, but Melissa is not convinced.
Team Kotu meets with their photographer, Alex, and discuss their ideas. Jesse, who has his own vision, goes off by himself to shoot city scenes. Their model arrives and they use a stand in to lay out the piece until David Lee arrives for the shoot. Ivanka checks in on the team and Joan tells her things are fine. Clint is aware of the criticism of him that he doesn't listen and tells Ivanka he is working on it. Joan and Clint admit that although Jesse is a nice guy, they believe he would throw them under the bus if necessary. Meanwhile, Jesse rides in the car and is convinced that they are going to lose.
Team Athena goes to the club for the photo shoot. Melissa does her best to instruct their models through the shoot. Melissa finds a composition that both she and Brande are happy with. Brande then sits down with Annie and tells her about Melissa's suspicions. Brande says that she hopes it is just her and Annie for the next task.
Jesse returns to his team and Clint is pleased with his photos. Clint gets to work by putting the messaging in the layout. Both Joan and Jesse suggest different looks, but Clint has his mind made up. Jesse is bummed out that they are producing crap when he believed they had a chance to do something great. Jesse ignores Clint when he is asked for his opinion. Clint thinks Jesse is acting like a baby because he isn't getting his way. Joan thinks Jesse should work harder for the team.
David Lee meets with team Athena and poses for the camera. Melissa is annoyed that Brande took over the photo shoot. Annie tries to have a private conversation with Melissa to convince her she and Brande aren't conspiring against her. Annie admits privately that she is using her poker skills to manipulate her way into the final four. David Lee then poses for team Kotu. Clint takes control of the shoot and Jesse silently opposes his direction.
Clint is pleased with the photo shoot as the team meets with their graphic designer. Annie pokes her head in the room to try to figure out how things are going for them. Joan is extremely irritated by Annie's scheming. Clint asks Jesse for his opinions. Jesse laughs and says it looks horrible. Jesse tells Clint that he doesn't have the proper knowledge to create a magazine layout and the two get into a fight. Jesse tells Clint he is stupid and he should just go home. Joan is shocked by how ugly Jesse's comments are to Clint.
Jim Cramer checks in on team Athena and they tell him they are convinced they will win. Annie tells him about all of her input in the project. Jim is impressed by Annie's ability to take credit for the good parts of the project and setting herself up to not receiving any blame if things don't go well. Melissa speaks up and emphasizes that they worked equally, which infuriates Annie.
Team Kotu presents their campaign to the Right Guard executives first. Jesse watches Clint deliver the presentation and believes that it's time for Clint to go home. Annie then gives the presentation for team Kotu's campaign. Melissa thinks her delivery is weak. The executives then tell Trump that they liked both teams. They say they liked the branding of Kotu's presentation, but they thought they didn't do a good job of linking David to the Knicks. They also liked Athena's branding, but thought their ordering was wrong.
