Sarah drives through the city at night. She calls John and tells him that she is at an industrial park downtown. She says that she is in front of a building that supplies the metal for the factory that blew up. She tells John to find out who owns the building. She goes to break in the building, but is stunned from behind by a man with a taser. She wakes up and finds herself in a sleep clinic with a cut on her head. She meets her roommate Dana, who is trying to sneak in a smoke. Dana says that the doctors are trying to take away all of her vices. John arrives and tells Sarah that Cameron is there to visit her. They have breakfast and Sarah says that she shouldn't be there. John tells Sarah that it is necessary for her to get some sleep. John tells Sarah that she hasn't slept in two weeks and that it is probably why she fell down the stairs.

Later, Sarah dreams about being driven in the back of a van. Winston, the security guard that she shot at the factory, opens the back door. Sarah says that she can't believe that she is seeing Winston because she killed him. Winston asks Sarah who she is working for. Sarah says that she works alone. Winston fills a syringe and tells Sarah that the drug that he is about to give her will make her talk. Sarah wakes up and finds Hobson, the clinic's nurse, hovering over her.

Hobson brings Sarah to the clinic's observation room and tells her that she has night terrors. She says that there is something wrong in her mind. Hobson tells Sarah that she should therapy. Sarah says that she tried therapy but it didn't work. Hobson goes to Sarah's room and finds a cigarette butt. Hobson tells Sarah that she has to file a report about the nicotine use. Dana arrives and tells Sarah that the doctor gave her some sleeping pills. Sarah tells Dana that she is being chased in her dreams. Dana says that she dreams about being burned alive. Sarah tells Dana that she heard that if you die in your dreams, you die in real life. Dana says that she has died in her dreams a thousand times.

Sarah dreams about being in the truck with Winston. Sarah tells Winston that his bosses will kill him to hide what they were building. Sarah tells Winston that she met his wife. Winston gets angry that Sarah brought up his wife and attacks her. Winston tries to inject Sarah, but she manages to kick him and force him to inject himself. Sarah wakes up and finds Hobson hovering over her with a syringe. She goes to Dana and tries to shake her awake. She sees that Dana has been injected. Sarah leaves the room and follows Hobson. The next day, Hobson tells Sarah that her monitoring electrodes came off of her last night. Sarah tells Hobson that she doesn't remember them coming off.
