Ellison wakes up after a dream where he digs up and recovers Cromartie's body. He wakes and finds Cameron wandering around his yard digging around for Cromartie. Cameron tells Ellison to go back to bed.
Sarah and Derek break into the Dakara office and see that their logo consists of three dots similar to the sign found in their basement. They begin removing all of the hard drives. They later show the computer equipment to John and he says that there is no sign of a working artificial intelligence program. Cameron returns and tells them that she didn't find Cromartie's body in Ellison's lawn.
In the morning, John finds that Dakara is looking for startup money. John prepares information for Sarah to go undercover and pose as a potential investor.
Meanwhile, Derek finds photos of himself and John in Jesse's hotel room. Jesse tells Derek that John is not being heavily influenced by Cameron, who she knows is a Terminator. Jesse says that she was sent back to stop Cameron.
Ellison meets with a detective and is told that Sherman was found killed in the Zeiracorp computer room. He learns that a blackout took place and he was in a room where air conditioners were required. The computers heated up the room and boiled him. Ellison meets with Weaver who tells him that Sherman was working on an artificial intelligence program called Babylon.
Sarah and Cameron meet with Alex and his son, Zander, at Dakara. Alex tells Sarah that they were broken into the previous night. He says that he thinks that they were raided by another corporation. Zander calls his artificial intelligence project, Emma, after his mom. Sarah learns that the Air Force is interested in their work. While Cameron and Zander hang out, Alex tells Sarah that they are running short on cash and time to develop their program.
John goes to Riley's house and finds that she is living in a foster home. Riley says that her parents are nice. Riley asks what posters in her room he likes the most. He says that he likes the poster of Yosemite. John sees a poster of a bear catching a fish. Riley says that the poster represents a fish being snatched and all the other fish not caring about its fate.
After meeting with Alex and his son, Cameron thinks that they are not developing the Turk supercomputer. Cameron says that Zander likes to play 'Go' instead of chess. Cameron says that 'Go' has almost an infinite number of ways that a game can be played out.
Jesse finds Riley at a clothes store. Riley tells Jesse that she feels like there is something wrong with John. Riley says that she can't work with Jesse anymore. Jesse talks about John as if Riley knows him from the future. Jesse tells Riley that she has to continue with her mission.
Derek tells John that since Sarah has been looking for three dots, he has been seeing them everywhere. Derek says that Sarah is making something out of nothing.
Sarah and Alex meet over coffee. Alex tells Sarah that a company who's supercomputer won an Air Force sponsored chess tournament has licensed their chip to the Dakara company.
Ellison meets with a tech in the Babylon computer storage room. The tech tells Ellison that during the blackout, Babylon reprogrammed itself to preserve itself, while neglecting to keep the temperature from rising where Sherman died. Ellison asks the tech if he believes that Babylon knew that it was killing Sherman. The tech says that he doesn't think that computers can think like that.
Alex, Sarah, Zander and Cameron meet at dinner with a Japanese chip manufacter, Hideo. Cameron stands up and gives a toast in Japanese. Hideo hands over the chip and he is given cash provided by Sarah.
Riley loses it as her foster family bickers about insignificant things. She tells her family that what they are doing doesn't matter. Riley knows that they are going to be wiped out when Skynet launches its nuclear attack. She gets violent and pushes her foster mom, then goes to her room.
Alex goes to their office and finds that the chip that they received from Hideo failed to work. Cameron looks at the chip and sees that it is not as innovative as they were told. They realize that they were screwed in the deal.
