I Know What You Did Last Summer 4.9

Ruby tells Sam and Dean they need to save a girl named Anna from demons. Sam and Dean find out Anna can hear angels and realize that the demons want her so they can listen to the angel's plans. On the trip, Sam tells Dean why Ruby is so special to him. A girl named Anna Milton is in a behavioral medical center. Her therapist asks her if she remembers why she is in the hospital. She tells Anna that she became hysterical and it took four people to restrain her. Anna tells her therapist that she was trying to warn everybody. She says that she knows people thinks she's crazy, but everything she says is true. The therapist asks Anna what her warning is and Anna says that the end is coming. She says that a demon named Lilith is trying to break 66 seals which will raise Lucifer to walk the Earth. Anna then listens to voices in her head. She tells the therapist that there are more than 600 seals. No one knows which 66 Lilith will break which makes it almost impossible to stop her and is the reason the angels are losing.

The therapist then leaves and an orderly comes to Anna's room with some medication. Anna sees the man's face and begins to scream. The man then shows his demon eyes. Anna continues to scream and a large dresser slams into the orderly demon, smashing his head into the door and breaking the glass. Anna takes the opportunity to escape from the hospital.

Sam and Dean are hustling at a pool hall. Sam pretends to be drunk and loses a few games. Dean walks up and tells the man betting against Sam that he shouldn't make a bet with Sam because he is too drunk. Sam protests and raises the bet to $500. The man takes the bet and Sam breaks, sending balls flying into the pockets. Sam then sees Ruby sitting at the bar and tells the man to keep the money. Dean is confused, then sees Ruby and goes to the bar with Sam.

Ruby tells Sam that there is a girl named Anna Milton who just escaped from a mental hospital. Ruby says that the demons are after Anna and their orders are to capture her alive. She says that Anna must be valuable, but she has no idea why. Dean tells Ruby that he and Sam are busy, but Sam says he wants to look into it. Ruby and Dean proceed to bicker. Sam asks what hospital Anna was in and Ruby gives him the address.

Sam finds out that Anna is a real person and he and Dean drive to the hospital. Dean is mad about going on a 3 day drive to investigate something a demon told them about. Sam tells Dean that they've driven further for less of a reason and says that he trusts Ruby. Dean and Sam then argue about Sam's friendship with Ruby. Dean demands that Sam tell him why Ruby is so important to him. Sam tells Dean to tell him about his time in Hell.

Sam finally opens up and tells Dean that six months ago, when Dean was still dead, Sam buried a box and called for the demons. He says a demon showed up and asked Sam to display his weapon. Sam laid Ruby's knife down and told the demon that he wanted to make a deal to be exchanged for Dean. The demon said he wasn't going to make a deal then Sam stabbed him in the hand with Ruby's knife. The demon told him no deal, saying they have Dean right where they want him, in Hell.

The brothers arrive at the hospital and talk to Anna's therapist. She tells them that Anna was normal until about 2 months ago when she suddenly started becoming paranoid about demons being everywhere. She shows the brothers a book filled with Anna's drawings. They look through the book and see pictures of the rise of the witnesses and the breaking of the seals. The therapist tells them that Anna's dad was a church deacon, so she was very religious. She then tells the brothers where they can find Anna's parents and they leave.

Sam and Dean arrive at the Milton's house. They knock on the door, but no one answers. They find the door unlocked, walk in, and discover Anna's parents on the floor, dead. Sam smells sulfur and says the demons beat them there. Sam notices a drawing repeated in Anna's book and recognizes it as a window in her dad's church. They figure Anna would probably go to the church to hide.

Sam and Dean walk into the church with their guns drawn. They see Anna in the background and put their guns away. They tell her their names and she comes out of hiding. She says she knows all about them because she's heard the angels talk about them. She tells Sam that not all the angels like him, but they talk about him all the time. They ask if she can talk to angels and she says that she can only hear them. She says that it all began on September 18. Sam and Dean recognize the date as the day Dean was pulled from Hell. Anna says that the first words she heard were "Dean Winchester is saved." Sam and Dean figure that the demons found out Anna had the ability to hear the angels talk and they want her so they can tune into the angel's plans.

Ruby barges into the church. Anna sees Ruby's face and freaks out. Ruby tells Sam that the demons followed them there and will be there any minute. She tells the brothers to get Anna to a safe place. Dean thinks Ruby is trying to trick them. The statue of Mary starts to cry blood and they realize that the demons are already there. Ruby tells Sam he has to pull the demon out right away. Dean objects to letting Sam use his mind powers to fight. Ruby grabs Anna and takes her to a backroom.
