Wishful Thinking 4.8

Sam and Dean search the internet for their next case. Sam comes across a story involving a woman, a shower, and a ghost and Dean says that they've found their next case. A lady takes a shower, oblivious to the boy watcher her on the other side of the glass door. She steps out and towels off. She feels someone there and calls out, but no one answers. She tosses her towel on a hook, but it lands on a ghost instead, outlining the shape of a person.

Sam and Dean sit in a restaurant, searching the internet for any unusual activity. Sam keeps pressing Dean to tell him about Hell, but Dean insists that he doesn't remember anything. Dean polishes off a few shots and a beer chaser. Sam finds a report of a woman in Concrete, Washington who was pushed down a flight of stairs by a ghost in her shower room. Dean hears the combination of woman, shower, and ghost and says they're heading to Washington.

Sam meets with the woman, Candace Armstrong, in a Chinese restaurant. Sam tells her that he is writing a book called Supernatural and would like to hear her story about the ghost in her shower room. Candace says that she was taking a shower and saw a ghost. She says that the ghost knew her name and called out to her. She says that she freaked out and fell down the stairs. Sam asks if the ghost pushed her and she says no. She tells Sam that the strangest thing was that the ghost helped her up and kept saying not to tell his mom.

Sam meets up with Dean outside Candace's house. Dean says her house is clean, no evidence of ghosts. Sam tells Dean that he thinks that she is just crazy. The brothers start to leave, but hear a couple of men yelling and decide to check it out. One of the men is trying to convince an officer that he saw bigfoot. The officer tells the man he probably just saw a bear, but the man insists it was bigfoot. Sam and Dean identify themselves as FBI agents and the man tells them where they can find the tracks. Dean thinks that the town's water might be laced with LSD, but then they see the bigfoot tracks. They follow the tracks to a liquor store. They see bottles on the floor and notice the adult section of the magazine rack has been cleared out. Dean pockets a bottle of liquor for himself and Sam finds a piece of fur on the magazine rack.

Sam and Dean leave the store and see a young girl on a bike return a crate full of bottles and magazines to the liquor store with a note that says 'sorry'. Sam and Dean follow the girl home. They knock on the door and the little girl answers. She says her parents aren't home. Sam and Dean ask her if she's seen any furry creatures. She asks if Teddy is in trouble and explains that her Teddy Bear has been sick. Sam and Dean tell her that they are Teddy Bear doctors and ask her to show them her bear.

Audrey takes the brothers upstairs and shows them her Teddy Bear. They see that he is a giant sized living bear who is drinking and watching TV. They ask Audrey how she got the Teddy Bear and she says that she wished for him at the wishing well. Sam pulls Dean aside and asks if he is going to have to kill the giant stuffed animal. They ask Audrey where her parents are. She says her mother wished she was in Bali, so she thinks that's where they are. The brothers decide to tell Audrey to stay with a trusted adult because her bear has lollipop disease which is contagious. They ask Audrey to tell them where they can find the wishing well.

Sam and Dean arrive at the wishing well inside the Chinese restaurant. Dean decides to try it out and throws a coin inside. Suddenly, a man with an Italian sub arrives. Dean says that the sub is for him and he sits down to eat it. Dean says that the well must work because he was pretty specific with his order. The restaurant owner approaches the brothers and tells them they can't eat outside food in his restaurant. Dean identifies himself as a health inspector and tells the restaurant owner he has a rat infestation.

The brothers are allowed to clear out the restaurant. They empty the well and try to find what makes it so unusual. Dean tells Sam to make a wish, but Sam won't because it wouldn't be real. Dean asks why he wouldn't wish away the day that he was cursed with demon blood. Sam explains that he wouldn't change anything about his life, but if he had one wish it would be to have Lilith's head on a platter.
