The angels arrive for Anna and Uriel tells the brothers not to worry because he'll kill her gently. Sam asks if they are heartless and Castiel tells him that they are. Uriel then tells them that they need to kill Anna, saying she's not innocent and she's worse than the demon Ruby. Fighting ensues.

Castiel knocks Sam out and Uriel beats up Dean. The lights start to flicker and the angels suddenly vanish. Dean helps Ruby up and they find Anna in the back room, her hands covered in blood, and a blood drawing on the mirror. She says that she sent the angels away using the symbol on the mirror. She says she doesn't know how she knew the symbol, but it popped into her head so she tried it and it worked.

Sam and Dean talk to each other about what the angels meant when they said Anna was not innocent. Dean tells Sam to find out more about Anna while he finds a safe place to relocate. Dean brings Anna to Bobby's safe room made out of iron and salt. Dean tells Anna that demon's can't enter the room, which annoys Ruby. From outside the room, Ruby tosses a hex bag to Anna and tells her that it will protect her from the demons. Dean thanks Ruby and asks Anna if she's heard anything from the angels. She tells him that the angels are quiet. Dean asks Ruby to watch Anna while he talks to Sam.

Sam asks where Bobby is and Dean says that he's in the Domincan, but is allowing them to use his house as long as they don't break anything. Sam tells Dean that he found out Anna was hospitalized when she was 2 years old. She was having hysterical fits whenever her dad came near her and would say that he was not her real father. Anna then walks in and asks why they didn't just ask her about her past. Sam asks Anna why the angels say she's guilty and Anna says she doesn't know.

Dean brings Pamela, the psychic who was blinded earlier, to meet with Anna. Pamela shows Anna her eyes and says that she has a personal stake in taking on the angels since they left her blind. She puts Anna under hypnosis and asks what her father's name is. Anna replies Rich Milton. Pamela asks Anna who her real father is and Anna starts to convulse. Sparks fly out of the light fixtures and Dean is thrown across the room. Pamela wakes up Anna and Anna says she remembers what happened.

Anna says that she's an angel and worked with Castiel and Uriel. She says that she received a death sentence for disobeying and fell to earth. She says that as she fell, she ripped out her grace which is what made her an angel. She says that her mom couldn't get pregnant and when she had her, she said it was a miracle.

Ruby says that they're screwed because the angels won't stop until they get Anna back. Anna says not to worry because she'll find her grace and become an angel again. Dean asks if she can just take a hit off the grace bong to get it back. Sam asks if when she fell if it would have looked like a meteorite falling to earth. He suggests that they look up the date that she fell from the sky and search for mysterious meteor sightings. He finds that one meteor was reported in Ohio and nine months later Anna was born. He then finds a second occurrence in Kentucky and figures that her grace must have landed in Kentucky. Pamela says that she's out because she doesn't want to work with an angel after what they did to her.

Ruby apologizes to Sam for getting him into the mess with Anna. She says that it's going to turn into a battle of angels and demons which is like getting in the middle of a fight between Godzilla and Mothra. Ruby tells Sam that Alastair, the demon who fought him and Dean the other day, is very strong and she's noticed Sam's abilities have gotten flabby. She tells Sam that he'll need to hone his abilities before he can fight Alastair. Sam tells her that he's not going to use his psychic powers anymore.

After taking Pamela home, Dean meets with Anna and asks her why he was saved from Hell. Anna tells him that it happened after she fell and the angels never talk about it so she doesn't know. Dean then asks why she fell and Anna tells him that she wanted to feel emotions. She says that angels don't feel anything and now that she's felt emotions, she could never go back. Dean says that feelings are overrated and angels are perfect, powerful, and have no doubt. Anna says that angels are like statues who mindlessly obey orders. She tells Dean that only four angels have ever seen God's face. Dean asks how angels even know there is a God and Anna says that they have faith. She says angels who don't have faith are killed. Anna tells Dean that she spent 2,000 years on Earth waiting for orders from an invisible father. Dean tells her that he can relate.
