Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Sarah and her son, John O'Connor, have knowledge of an apocalyptic future. In this possible timeline, Skynet, a powerful military supercomputer, has taken over the world using robotic killers called Terminators. Time travelling technology is used to send soldiers back in order to eliminate members of the resistance before they become threats. John O'Connor is destined to become the leader of the last remnants of mankind against Skynet. Sarah and John jump to the year 2007 to evade assassination attempts and to stop Skynet before it wipes out humanity. Another Terminator, a female version named Cameron, is also sent back, however with a different mission. Cameron is reprogrammed to protect John's Life.

Fringe

Walter Bishop a doctor who experiments on the fringe of science and his son Peter work with the FBI to solve cases of extraordinary circumstances. After the loss of her partner and lover, Agent Olivia Dunham pushes forward to lead the newly formed team to investigate the recent series of strange occurrences. Behind all the events may be Massive Dynamics, a large corporation run by Bishop's ex-colleague, William Bell.
