Edward is informed that there is a circuitry malfunction the chip in his brain that enables him to switch from Henry to Edward. He is told that the problem cannot be fixed and that Tony and Mavis are the only ones who know the truth, but they won't tell. They tell him that in the meantime, he has to still keep up on Edward's job which means he has to go to Berlin and capture a terrorist that night. Edward asks what they should do if Henry comes out, and they tell him to wing it.
Edward and Raymond drive to the suspect's house. Edward goes in, Raymond cuts the lights, and Edward nabs the guy and throws him in the trunk. While Edward and Raymond are driving, he tells him that he gets a little warning before Henry wakes up in the form of anxiety. He tells Raymond he's feeling it now, then Henry takes over.
Henry panics when he realizes that he and Tom/Raymond kidnapped someone. He insists that that must be against the rules and Raymond stops the car. He tells Henry that they don't play by any rules. Raymond then calls Mavis and tells her to fix Edward or put him down.
When Henry arrives at the control center, he is greeted by the big boss Alistair Trumbull (played by James Cromwell). Trumbull tells 'Edward' he's disappointed in his mess up in Paris and hopes he does better with this guy. Mavis tells Henry that he needs to do the interrogation and be convincing because Trumbull is going to be watching. She hands him an earpiece and tells him she'll walk him through the whole thing.
The man Henry is interrogating refuses to answer his questions so Mavis tells Henry to open the box. Henry complies and sees a series of needles containing a mysterious fluid. She tells him to inject the man with a needle, but Henry just grabs the man and tells him to talk. Henry then walks out of the room and tells Mavis he can't go through with the procedure. She tells him he's doing fine and she thinks Trumbull bought his performance. Henry then tells her that he doesn't believe that he is just a figment of Edward's imagination. She assures him it's true.
Henry goes home and rummages through all his old photos. Angie walks in and Henry asks if she knows where his old childhood videos are. She says she doesn't know. She then tells him that the kids will be gone and she wants the two of them to go on a date together to relive the lovemaking from last night.
Henry then goes to his old doctor and asks him to do a CT scan to see if there's anything wrong with his brain. Back at headquarters, Mavis sees that Henry is missing, so she and Tony try to track him. They see that his car GPS is sending a signal from one part of town, but his cell phone says he's on the other side of town. Henry is actually on a bus, trying to call old friends from high school. He gets up, someone sprays something strange at him, and he collapses.
The EMT arrives and Henry sees that it's actually Raymond. He takes Henry back to the ambulance where Mavis tells him that she needs to administer a shock to reverse the toxin. She makes it clear to him that he can't let anyone know he's broken or he'll end up being killed. She says that if he wants to die, let her know and she won't revive him. Henry tells her he wants to live, so she gives him the life saving shock.
Edward wakes up from the ambulance and goes to finish the interrogation. He demands that the terrorist tell him where to find his cohorts. The guy tells him, then Edward stabs him with the poison. He demands the guy tell him the truth or he'll keep stabbing him with toxins.
Edward is interrupted by a call from Angie who reminds him of their date. Henry wakes up the next morning with a note on his hand that says "You're Welcome." Angie wakes up and tells him how grateful she is for last night. She tells him that he talked her into doing the hummingbird. He tells her he doesn't want to do the hummingbird again.
Henry sees his therapist and tries to tell her about his wife's fondness for someone else's lovemaking style. She asks Henry if he thinks his wife is having an affair and he says no. He then calls his doctor who confirms that there's a strange chip in his brain. Henry demands that it gets removed, but the doctor tells him he doesn't think he can. Henry goes to him in person and removes all the evidence of the CT. He asks the doctor not to tell anyone about the visit and gives him a code word to use before he releases information, even to Henry.
