Return to Crystal Lake

- Jason will be back for another sequel in the rebooted version of the classic slasher/horror movie series.

Soon after the success of the reboot of the slasher flick, New Line announces that they are planning to produce a sequel to the 2009 Friday the 13th, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film starring supermurderer Jason Vorhees earned more than $70 million worldwide. Jared Padalecki (Supernatural) and Amanda Righetti (The Mentalist) are not yet confirmed to return for the second movie. Since rumors that the Supernatural story will conclude after the fifth season, we at BeeSight.com believe that at least Jared will be available for the movie. Film production is tenatively scheduled to begin in the second half of 2010.
