Crews stares at his wall outlining the people responsible for locking him up. He takes the photo of Jack Reese and the other cops at the funeral and numbers the men's pictures. Ted walks in and tells him the paper said the funeral was for a cop who committed suicide. Crews believes the paper's story is untrue.

He goes to the dead cop's wife, Mrs. Dunn, and asks what happened. She tells them that they said his gun discharged while he was cleaning it, but she thinks they made that story up so she can keep his pension. Crews shows her the picture from the funeral and she says she doesn't recognize any of the men.

Crews and Reese are called to a murder scene at a towing yard. They find a crushed car with a man inside. They find out the man's name is Mike Brody, one of the employees for the towing company. They talk to his coworkers who say he just moved in with his girlfriend Rosa and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

Reese and Crews go to Rosa. She realizes that they have bad news and tells them she doesn't want to hear it. She tells them that they had just gotten engaged. She says he didn't have any enemies and everyone liked him. She mentions that every night he would go out to the garage for a couple of hours. She didn't think anything of it, she just assumed he needed some space.

They look at the garage and find that he's been communicating with a woman online. The woman's name is Bethany and she had sent him pictures of naked parts of her body. They realize that Mike received a new piece every time he did something for her. They read one message exchange where he tells her she shouldn't be with that fat cowboy. They remember his boss Rob was wearing a cowboy hat and was overweight.

They go to Rob and ask him about Bethany. He gets up and smashes his computer, then falls on Reese, pinning her down. After Reese is freed, they bring him in for questioning. They show him the pictures that Bethany gave Mike and read him some of their exchanges. He starts to get a little jealous and says that Mike found a way to get inside her head and she figured out the truth about him. They read his message to her saying he won't tell her secret. They ask if he's covering up for something Bethany did.

The team goes over all the messages to look for clues that say who Bethany is. They discover she is a junior in college and plays tennis. She lives with her parents after spending two years out living on her own. They find a school with a player named Bethany on the tennis team and go to the parent's home.

They arrive and find a young woman playing tennis. They ask if she's Bethany and when she realizes they're police, she calls for her mom. Bethany's mother comes out, hands them a phone and says that her husband handles all of these kinds of problems.

They go to the husband, Nathan, who is a record producer. They ask him if her daughter spent a lot of time online. They tell him about the dead tow truck driver and he laughs, saying his daughter would never associate with tow truck drivers. He tells them that Bethany is a good girl and it sounds like they're looking for a bad girl.

Crews and Reese decide to try to find out where Bethany was for the two years she didn't live at home. They find her old dorm roommate and ask her about Bethany. She tells them that Bethany had to leave school because she was caught having an affair with a professor. They ask the roommate about Nathan. She tells him that he was cool because he knew Bono, but he was also really creepy and told Bethany things about his sex life that were just wrong.

Reese and Crews looks into the affair further. He and Bethany had both an online and in person relationship. They find out that Nathan discovered his daughter was having an affair with the professor and he broke the professor's legs with a bat. They figure Nathan would get mad if he found out that Bethany was hooking up online again.

They go back to Nathan's office and ask him about the professor. Nathan refuses to talk and shows them his team of lawyers. Crews sees the poster above Nathan's head and bolts out the door. Reese follows him back to the roommate's dorm. He grabs a picture off the wall and sees that it's Bethany in the same pose as the woman in the poster above her dad's desk. The roommate says that Bethany was drunk when the picture was taken and her sick father based an album cover off of it.
