Its Coming

Matt enters the mind of Angela in an attempt to free her from her coma while Elle confronts Sylar for killing her father. Read the recap and review of NBC's Heroes.

In Africa, Arthur grabs Hiro by his head. Usutu's decapitated body remains lifeless next to them. Arthur tells Hiro that it is dangerous to dream about him. Ando tries to save Hiro, but is held telekinetically by Arthur, then tossed to the ground. Arthur lets Hiro go to look at Usutu's drawing of an eclipse on the wall. Ando grabs Hiro and forces him to blink. Hiro blinks and sends Ando and himself to Japan. Ando finds that he has been teleported to a Japanese bowling alley. Hiro asks why Ando looks so old. Hiro tells Ando that he thinks that he is still 10 years old.

At Pinehearst, Arthur teleports behind Sylar. Arthur tells Sylar that his hunger is not for murder, but for power. He tells Sylar that he has to take the abilities of other people without killing them. He says that he needs to first feel empathy for the person in order to successfully steal their power without harm. Sylar says that he believes that he is unable to feel empathy. Arthur says that he showed it when he saved Peter from dying when he fell after crashing through his office window. Arthur locks Sylar in a dark cell. Sylar sees Elle chained up in the other side of the room. Elle remembers that Sylar killed her father and grows angry. She discharges an electric shock that hits Sylar.

In New York, Claire tells Peter that she needs to protect him then tells Peter to escape through the fire escape after they hear banging at their door. The door is broken down by Flint and Knox. Claire approaches them and asks them to stop. Claire then runs, jumps through the window and lands on the concrete street. Peter catches up and they begin running down the alley. Peter sees graffiti on the wall and realizes that it is the same place where his future self was killed by Claire. They lift up a manhole cover and go to the sewers under the street as Knox and Flint run by them above.

Arthur enters the lab to check on Doctor Mohinder's progress in developing the formula to give people abilities. Mohinder says that the formula should work, but that they need a person to serve as a catalyst. Arthur says that his former colleague, Doctor Nakamura, tried to hide the catalyst. Arthur realizes who the catalyst is.

Matt and Daphne arrive at Primatech and find it mostly empty. Matt sees the image of Usutu and chases him down the hall. At the end of the hallway, Matt finds Angela on a bed in a room. He tries to read her mind, but is blocked. Daphne says that she is going to try to find a nurse to help. She goes into the hallway then speeds off.

At Pinehearst, Arthur is reviewing Claire's file. Daphne arrives and tells him that Matt is with his wife at Primatech. Daphne tells Arthur to leave Matt alone. Arthur orders her to return to Matt's side.

In the sewer, Claire tells Peter that she owes him and needs to protect him. Peter tells Claire that he witnessed her murder his future self in another timeline. He says that Claire's current actions will lead her down a path to becoming a murderer. Peter begs her to go home. They hear Flint and Knox uncover a manhole and climb down a ladder. Claire tells Peter to leave while she deals with the men. Claire approaches Knox and Flint and tells them in order to get to Peter, they have to go through her. They say that they are not there for Peter, but for her. They grab Claire as she begins to scream. Peter hears her crying out and turns back to try to save her. Peter opens up a gas pipe and confronts the men. Flint tosses a fire ball at Peter, causing the gas pipe to emit flames. Claire uses the opportunity to escape with Peter.

Back in Tokyo, Ando tells Hiro that he is the master of space and time. He says that when Hiro concentrates, he can stop time. Hiro tries his power and succeeds in stopping time. He uses the opportunity to play pranks on the people at the bowling alley. He restarts time and amusingly watches as the bowlers around him fall prey to his trickeries.

In the Pinehearst cell, Sylar is being continuously electrocuted by Elle. Sylar tells Elle that she understands that she is angry. He tells her to take out her anger on him. Elle shocks him until she becomes exhausted. Sylar collapses in front of her in pain, but rapidly heals his wounds. Sylar uses his abilities to break the cuffs holding Elle. Elle begs Sylar to kill her. He says that he won't. He reminds her of the time when she saved his life. Sylar says that she pushed him into becoming a murderer. He touches her and takes some of her power. Elle says that she is no longer in pain. Later, Sylar tries out his new power. Elle shows him how to fully utilize his abilities. While being taught by Elle, the two become close.

Nathan and Tracy enter the Pinehearst building to meet Arthur. Arthur asks to hug Nathan, but he refuses. Arthur tells Nathan that events that he has recently experienced are all part of a plan for him to help save the world. Arthur offers Nathan a chance to join him. Later, Nathan learns about Arthur's plans to give half of the planet super powers. He leaves the building and tells Tracy that he wants to go to Primatech. He flies off and leaves Tracy. Tracy reenters Pinehearst and tells Arthur that she wants to work for him. She says that she wants to help bring Nathan to his side.

At Primatech, Daphne returns and tells Matt that she can not find a nurse. Matt asks her to watch as he attempts to enter Angela's mind. He sits down and grabs her hand. Matt enters Angela's mind and finds her handcuffed to a chair in the hallway of Primatech. He unsuccessfully tries to free her. He sees Daphne walking into the hallway. Matt hugs Daphne, but she stabs him. In the real world, Daphne notices Matt panicking. She sees that Matt is bleeding. She holds his hand and is brought into Angela's mind. Matt tells her to get away. Arthur appears and tells Matt that Daphne has betrayed him. Daphne tells Matt that she loves him and they embrace. Angela tells Arthur that he once loved her like that. She asks Arthur to release her, then her handcuffs are removed. Matt holds on to Angela and Daphne then wakes from his trance. Matt finds that Angela is out of her coma. He leaves with Daphne to try to find a doctor. In the hallway, he runs into Peter and Claire. He attacks Peter, thinking that he was responsible for shooting Nathan. Peter says that he didn't do it. Matt reads his mind and sees that he is telling the truth. Matt then leads Peter to his mother.

In Japan, Ando tells Hiro that he also has the ability to move through space. Hiro tries it by appearing behind Ando several times. Ando tells him to take him along when he jumps. Hiro grabs Ando and transports them to a comic book store. At the store, they find a comic book that Ando recognizes as being able to predict the future. They look at the back of the comic and see an eclipse and the words, 'it's coming'.

Nathan arrives at Primatech and meets with Angela, Claire, Peter, Matt and Daphne. Angela says that someone has both parts of the formula but needs the catalyst in order for it to work. Claire realizes that she is the catalyst.

Hiro reverting to his child form after having his memory blocked was pretty funny. I was initially thinking that Arthur only stole powers, but remembered last weeks episode where he blocked the Angela's memories. The person that freed her mind, Linderman is now dead. I think Matt will be able to return Hiro's memories. Hiro's knowledge gained during his spirit walk, however, is not very valuable since everyone knows that Arthur is still alive. I thought it was funny to see Hiro show his playful side by pranking the bowlers. I think this was one of the least exciting episodes of the season. There was barely any action unless you count Sylar getting electrocuted by Elle.
