In Virginia beach, a man named Tom Miller gets a text message from Rebel. Sylar enters his apartment. Tom tels Sylar that he can hurt him. Sylar tells Tom that he can help him. Tom asks Sylar if he is Rebel. Sylar asks Tom what he can do. Tom picks up a figurine and puts it on the table. He snaps his finger and causes it to shatter. Sylar tells Tom that what he did looks like fun. Sylar tells Tom that the agents are arriving. He tells Tom that he has to either pick him or the agents. Tom says that he picks him. Sylar cuts into Tom's head and takes his power. Danko and several agents arrive and see the words 'I am Sylar' written on the wall with blood. Danko returns to headquarters. Sylar tells Danko that Tom received a text from Rebel before he arrived. Danko tells Sylar that he has to be dead. Danko tells Sylar that he lived eight different lives in the past years, but he still remembers who he is. Danko tells Sylar to find an anchor. He shows Sylar a pocketwatch that his father gave him. He says that when he looks at the watch, he remembers who he is. Sylar looks at the watch and tells him that it is running fast. Danko asks Sylar who he killed to be able to see how things work. Sylar says that it is his original power.

Ando and Hiro go to a lab. Hiro tells Ando that he should get captured and have the bad guys take him to their headquarters. Ando says that he wants to call himself the Crimson Arc. Hiro tells him that the name sounds girlish. Ando tells Hiro that he realizes that Hiro doesn't see him as an equal. A team of masked agents arrive and shoot tranquilizer darts at Hiro and Ando. Hiro stops time before the darts hit him. He tells Ando that he has to be the bait. Ando tells him that he doesn't want to. Ando realizes that time sopped for him too and that he doesn't have to be the bait.

Sylar receives a box of files regarding an unsolved murder case. He opens the box and finds a sweater with blood on it. He picks up a pair of scissors and remembers stabbing his mom with them. He picks up a snow globe and remembers that he gave it to his mom. Sylar imagines talking to his mom. He asks her why she lied to him about his real identity. He tells her that he found his real father and took his power to transform his face. His mom tells Sylar that even though she didn't give birth to him, she still loved him as her son. Sylar gets a knock on the door. Sylar transforms from his mom back to his original form. Danko meets with Sylar and tells him that he found Rebel.

Ando tells Hiro that he knows that he doesn't like him having powers. Hiro moves the darts in front of Ando and starts time back up. Ando is hit by several darts. Hiro stops time again and finds an agent wearing a uniform that is just his size.
