Claire gives Alex, who is hiding in her closet, some food. She tells him to take the train to Albuquerque which leaves later that night. Alex tells her his friends and family are there and he doesn't want to go. Claire insist he follow her orders. Sandra comes to the door and asks Claire what happened to their secret stash of money. Claire denies taking it, then their dog begins to bark. Sandra hears a noise, but declines to investigate. Alex then pops out of the closet and says hello.

Noah tells Danko that he understands why they are monitoring Claire. Danko then announces that Matt and Peter are their new priority targets. Danko issues a shoot to kill order, but Nathan walks in and says the targets need to be captured alive. Nathan asks Noah to keep and eye on Danko. Noah reminds Nathan that Peter and Matt kidnapped him and he wants to shoot them himself.

Peter tells Matt to stop painting since he has been creating the same image over and over. Matt tells Peter that the only thinking that matters to him is finding Daphne. Peter asks Matt to remember what he saw in Noah's head. They then get a message that tells them what address Daphne is being held at. Peter thinks the messenger is setting them up, but Matt says he could be telling the truth. The two leave and agents run in the room. They see Matt's paintings are still wet and tell Danko that they just missed them. Danko says he thinks he knows where they are headed.

Claire introduces Alex to her mom as her new boyfriend. Claire says he was hiding in her closet because they were having sex. Alex denies the charges and Sandra demands the truth. Claire admits that Alex has a power and she is hiding him. Sandra becomes upset that she is hiding Alex in their house and disappointed that Claire lied to her.

Luke and Sylar hit the road. Luke is itching to kill agents who find them, but Sylar says he doesn't want a trail of dead bodies to follow him to his dad's house. Sylar uses his power to shove Luke against the window. Sylar demands to know why Luke is helping him. Luke says he wants to help because he is the most powerful man on the planet. Sylar then stops the car and sees an abandoned hot dog stand.

Claire apologizes to her mom for lying. Claire says they were going to lock Alex up. Sandra reminds Claire that they want to lock Claire up too. She tells Claire that she knows more than she thinks she knows. She tells Claire that there is a van parked outside and the people inside are watching them. Claire assures her mom that she will come up with an idea. Sandra suggests a plan and Claire agrees to let her help. Meanwhile, the spies in the van wonder if Claire is hiding Alex.

Peter and Matt arrive at the address. Peter shares his powers with Matt and they go inside to find Daphne. Matt comes to a guard and uses his power to get the guy to tell them Daphne is on the top floor. They then come up on two guards. Matt and Peter mentally convince the men to stand down. They walk into a room and tell the worker to go out in the hall. They search the man' s computer. Meanwhile, Nathan sees video of Matt and Peter in the building. Danko runs upstairs and is surprised to find his guards pointing their weapons at him.

Sandra goes to Claire's brother and demands his driver's license since he got a low grade on his history test. Sandra then makes a fake ID for Alex using Claire's brother's license. She tells Claire about her youthful exploits, then tells Alex to change his appearance. Alex thanks Sandra for her help. Claire tells her mom she thinks it's her fault that her and her dad are breaking up. Sandra assures her that their relationship problems have nothing to do with her.
