The Eclipse Part 1

An eclipse appears that takes away everyone's abilities as Angela wages war against her husband. Read the recap and review of NBC's Heroes.

Elle shows Sylar how to hone his new electrical abilities at Pinehearst. Just before they are about to leave, Arthur tells him to bring Claire back to Pinehearst. Elle tells them that she wants to go along.

Claire meets with Angela and they talk about their plans to fight Arthur. Angela tells Claire taht she is needed to be kept safe. Angela brings Claire to Level 5 to meet with Noah.

Back at Pinehearst, Suresh gets angry that Arthur has not provided him with the cure for his condition. Arthur tells him that during the eclipse, Claire will become vulnerable to harm. Suresh realizes that if Claire dies, the catalyst needed for the formula to give people abilities will be lost.

Daphne and Matt work on trying to contact Hiro. Daphne realizes that she has betrayed Arthur and might betray Matt again. Matt tells Daphne that he trusts her. They hear a knock on the door and find that it is Hiro and Ando carrying a comic book. The comic book shows them arriving at Matt's aparment and asking for help. Matt tries to read Hiro's mind but only sees Japanese. Matt says that Hiro really believes that he is only 10 years old. Daphne tells Matt that he paused when she said that he trusted him. Just before she heads out, Matt reads in her mind that she is heading to Lawrence, Kansas.

Elle and Sylar go to a car rental office. Elle tells Sylar that he told the employees that Sylar is a serial killer and that she is being held captive. Sylar tries to leave with Elle, but is stopped by an employee carrying a shotgun. The man tells Sylar that he wants to be a hero then hits him with the back of his gun. Sylar says that he hates heroes. Later, they steal a convertible and head off to find Claire.

Suresh looks over the data on the eclipse and tries to figure what how it is going to affect him and others like him. He finds that his hands are becoming more monsterous.

Claire and Noah arrive at the abandoned home that used to belong to the man that could create black holes. Noah tells Claire that he is there to train her. Noah tells Claire to attack him. Noah easily defends himself and tries to give Claire pointers.

Tracy calls Arthur and tells him that Nathan is out to try to find the Haitian. Arthur tells her to go to Paris Island to recruit soldiers at the Marine training facility.

Matt tells Ando that he needs to go to Lawrence, Kansas with the help of Hiro. Hiro shows them the comic book page displaying them in a corn field in Kansas. Hiro grabs them, closes his eyes, and transports them near Daphne's home. They see the start of an eclipse and realize that their powers are fading. Elsewhere, Nathan and Peter, on their way to find the Haitian to recruit him to help battle Arthur, fall from the sky and crash into the water. Peter thinks that the loss of power is due to the eclipse. Nathan says that he thinks that the Haitian might have spotted them and took away his powers. They then head to the Haitian's village.

Suresh wakes and finds himself in a cocoon. He emerges and sees that he has returned to normal.
