House M.D.

House M.D. is a different kind of medical drama that is centered around Dr. Gregory House, a somewhat bitter, mildly antisocial, Vicodin addicted yet brilliant doctor who, along with a small staff, seeks out cures to mysterious and often devastating medical illnesses. The show takes place at a teaching hospital in New Jersey. Since most of the patients who are to be treated by House and his team are undiagnosed or misdiagnosed, the show hinges on the group of doctors utilizing everything they have to try to deduce the cure. House's team is comprised of doctors Eric Foreman, Allison Cameron, Chris Taub, Lawrence Kutner, and a woman known simply as "Thirteen". House's unconventional sometimes unethical actions often land him in trouble with Dr. Lisa Cuddy, the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator.
