BeeThoughts
The thing that I have problem's with this brand is that the writers seem to want to quickly move from one place to the next. I have read that one of Bruckheimer's goal in production is to transport the viewer from place to place. I find that the writers find the most unlikely and most convenient ways to lead the detectives from clue to clue. Convenient clues in this episode include the book left behind in the locker for no reason, the pacifier found under the bench for no reason, and the overalls thrown away for no reason. I often see this series as a crime drama on rails, meaning there is barely any deduction needed and the viewers are taken for a boring ride. Some viewers feel good for being present when the crime is solved. I am not one of them. Hopefully, Bruckheimer soon realizes that it is not the quantity of places, but the the quality time in between stops that makes the trip memorable.
