A woman entertains a male customer. He tells her what he wants and they drink champagne. The woman then starts to take off her costume. The man objects, then falls to the floor. The woman receives a call from another customer. The man tries to call for help, but she takes his phone away and watches him die.
Hotch gets a call from Patrick Jackson, the attorney general in Texas. He tells Hotch that he wants him personally to look into a case. Hotch asks if he told JJ and Jackson says he just wants Hotch on the case. Hotch goes to the hotel room and examines the scene. Hotch notices viagra and says he doesn't think it was suicide. Jackson tells Hotch that the man visited a prostitute every week. He says they think he is her second victim. Hotch tells Jackson that he is going to call in his team. The attorney general tells him that's fine, but asks for discretion. Hotch then gets into the elevator and the prostitute rides up with him. She exits the elevator and heads off to see her next customer, who is also in the hotel.
The team flies to Texas. Spencer says female serial killers are fascinating. He says murder is generally their only goal and they don't need to do anything extra to be satisfied. The team wonders what would motivate a prostitute to murder her clients. They think she poisons her victim before she has sex with them. Hotch tells the team that the woman has decided to kill the men before she visits them. The team wonders if the men share a fetish. JJ says she obtained a statement about the latest death from the man's estate. Spencer notices the press release is identical to the previous victim's press release.
The woman wakes up her customer and tells him he has to leave to get his kids to school on time. She then uses his computer to research Hotch.
Emily and Derek visit Mrs. Ashford, the wife of the man who was just killed. They tell her that her husband may have been killed during a sexual encounter. She tells the detectives that he liked younger women. Derek asks if he had any kind of fetish in particular, but she said that he just liked younger women.
Hotch meets with Ellen Daniels, the lawyer for the press firm who released the statements. Hotch asks her if she knows who the prostitute is. She says none of her clients are going to admit that they have a professional girlfriend. She asks Hotch if he wants to buy a house. Hotch says no, but Ellen tells him he does.
Spencer and Emily meet Hotch at the property that is for sale. Emily asks the real estate agent if she is a madam. The woman admits that she arranges meetings between men and escorts. The madam knows about the killer prostitute. She says all the escorts have their own client list. The madam tells the detectives to try to figure out why men pay so much for a prostitute. She hints that the men are actually interested in hiring people to listen to their problems. Spencer realizes that the prostitute is killing men because of how they act out of bed, not how they act in bed.
Meanwhile, the prostitute drugs a man and ties him up. He realizes he was poisoned and struggles to break free from his restraints. A security guard then finds the man, dead, in an elevator.
The team investigates the man in the elevator. They see that there are Xs drawn in lipstick over the victim's eyes. David sees that the Xs are new and thinks she drew them for the team. The victim's lawyer arrives and insists on being present for the investigation. Hotch asks him to turn over all the information he has on his client.
The team sorts through the latest victim's financial statements. Hotch notices that the man spent a lot of money on a lot of things, but neglects his ex-wives. Garcia notices that all the victims have neglected to pay their alimony and child support. Hotch asks her to gather a list of rich men who are holding out on their families. The team figures the woman is mad at the men for how they treat their families, then complaining about them to her. They think she may be mad that they are taking for granted the things that she never had.
