A dad, William Harris, teaches his daughter Andrea how to drive. He then gets a call and tells his daughter he has to go. She gets upset, but he promises he'll be home before dinner. He then tells her that when she gets her license, the car will be hers. She is excited by the news and quickly tells her friend. The friend then tells Andrea that another girl from school has gone missing. The police then arrive and arrest William Harris for the kidnapping and murder of the missing girl. The police search his home for evidence. The criminal minds team arrives and ask the police officer what he is doing. He tells the team that he was sick of waiting.

The team tells the officer that they are getting close to completing the profile of the killer. The tell him to wait until they get enough evidence to convict him, otherwise, he will get out and be free to kill again.

Spencer tells the team that no mortal can keep a secret. Jordan arrives at the scene. The neighbors ask if William Harris is guilty and she says she can't discuss the case yet.

The team questions William and ask if he needs a lawyer. He tells them he is a lawyer. They show him pictures of the murdered girls and he says he doesn't recognize them. The detectives ask him to tell them about the rape charges against him in Atlanta. He says the charges were dropped. The detectives then ask him about his marriage. They ask him if he is bored with his wife. He tells the detectives that they are wasting their time with him and that leaves the missing girl in the hands of the real killer.

Hotch and Emily talk to Mrs. Harris and Andrea. Emily asks if she is suspicious that her husband has been accused of rape twice. Mrs. Harris says both accusations were wrong. She then kicks the detectives out.

William's bail is set. At the courthouse, William tells his wife that they don't have a case. She asks what to do and he tells her that everything will be fine. Emily notices that William's wife is starting to doubt her husband.

Spencer and Garcia search William's computer. Garcia finds all of William's questionable web searches. Spencer tells the rest of the team that William spent time at a website blogging in a cryptic diary written in two separate voices detailing sexual assaults. The detectives confront William and he tells them they are wrong. The local officer then walks into the room and says they found the missing girl.

The detectives go to the body and learn that she was killed during the time William was in custody. They think William might have a partner who is doing everything he can to get William out of jail.

Spencer examines the diaries. Derek asks if Spencer can find William's partner, but Spencer says it's too cryptic. Derek thinks they should try to figure out when they met. The rest of the team arrives and say there were bite marks on the victim, which is something new.

Garcia finds that there is another victim who was bitten during an attack and the wound is a match to the bite mark on Melissa. Garcia says the guy was never arrested, so they don't have an ID. They learn the victim is still alive and the detectives go to her. She tells them that the attacker wore a mask and got away. She says the bite marks left scars and she was never able to be intimate after the attack.

The detectives say that the bite wounds exhibit an attacker who gets excited by his crime. Jordan wonders if they should put something out in the public. Spencer says that the partner has intense loyalty and might react if he thinks a trust has been broken. Spencer and Derek compose a message to send to William's partner that makes it sound like William is cooperating with the police.

Emily and Hotch go back to Mrs. Harris and Andrea. Emily asks Andrea if she knows a white man in his 40s that is friends with his dad. Emily tells Andrea that the man may try to contact them soon and she should be aware. Andrea says that this is just like Atlanta where everyone thinks her dad is guilty. Mrs. Harris hears a noise and sees that someone spray painted 'Get Out' on their car. A neighbor, Steven, then runs up to her and says he will help her clean it up.
