CSI Miami

CSI: Miami follows the Miami-Dade, Florida police department's Crime Scene Investigations unit, led by Lieutenant Horatio Caine. Using a combination of traditional and breaking edge techniques, the unit sets out to solve the brutal crimes of South Florida. The team includes Calleigh Duquesne who specializes in ballistics, Eric Delko, an expert in underwater recovery, and Ryan Wolfe who specializes in blood and trace evidence. The team works with coroner Alexx Woods, and DNA expert Natalia Boa Vista. Detective Frank Tripp also assists the team in solving the crimes.

Life

Life is about Charlie Crews, a detective for the LAPD who spent 12 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Eventually, his lawyer Constance Griffiths finds DNA evidence to exonerate him and he is released from prison. Crews receives a large monetary settlement and is given back his position as a detective. However, Crews' time in prison caused several changes in his life. His friends and family, including his wife Jennifer Conover, abandoned him and he developed a fixation on fruit and an obsession for untangling the conspiracy and solving the murder that sent him to prison. He also attained enlightenment in prison and adopted a Zen philosophy. When he returns to work, he is partnered with Detective Dani Reese, a woman recovering from a drug addiction. Ted Earley, a man Crews met in prison, moves in with him and acts as his financial advisor.
