Pushing Daisies is a fantastic comedy/drama that explores the life of Ned, who as a boy discovered he had an unusual gift of bringing the dead back to life with a touch from his finger. There are a few simple rules to his talent. If Ned touches something once, it comes alive, twice, it's dead forever. Ned only has one minute to touch the dead a second time, if he fails, something else dies as a consequence. As an adult, Ned uses his power to bring dead fruits to life and turns them into pies, which he and his friend Olive sell at their shop, The Pie Hole. One day, a private investigator named Emerson finds out about Ned's unusual ability and convinces him to help him solve murders to reap the reward money. In need of cash, Ned agrees. While working with Emerson, Ned comes across the body of his childhood sweetheart, Chuck. Ned can't resist the urge to bring her back to life, and once he does, he is unable to return her to death. Chuck comes back to the life of the living, but despite their desires, Ned and Chuck are unable to touch ever again.
